Where have I ended up? Where is the palace, the city, the desert? Wherever I am, I'm needed at the court... Who knows what will happen to them all without me there. Nothing good, that's for certain; they can all be surprisingly incompetent ( Read more... )

We do seem to be... Extremely similar in appearance.

What? I am not wearing a 'dress'.

[[ooc: XDDD I love him already. Playing Seth is always more fun with a Seto around.]]

Ignore the other idiot that just replied to you. He's always that ignorant even thought he thinks he's such hot shit...him and his younger brother.

Tip for you hon - when you're in a strange place, going off by yourself might not be the best option. You may end up in a worse mess than you're already in.

He... Has a high opinion of himself.

Your advice is noted, but I am a priest. I am able to take care of myself; it is something of a job requirement.

high opinion? *snorts* the man thinks he's god to everyone!

Ah, trust me, if you aren't dressed or look of this time, you'll be at a severe disadvantage if you don't have at least one ally on your side or someone that can at least show you around, ok? That might've been the in thing in your time, but this is my time, so things work differently here.

It does seem that way.

People have been giving me strange looks, but they haven't seemed dangerous. I'm attempting to contact Mahaado; my look-alike told me here was here, and if I can speak with him I should be able to sort something out.

Priest Seth, so the gods have brought you to this era as well. The disorientation is staggering, that I know well. It has been years since I appeared here, and still, there is much about this world that I find unfamiliar.

Nevertheless, if you wish to converse, or simply need assistance, I have a small shop here in the business area of the kingdom that sells herbal potions and other magical services. It will not be difficult for you to locate. Most of my signs are still written in our native tongue.

There is much to fill you in on, or so it would be colloquially expressed.

It is... Extremely different from Khemet. You have been here years? How is that possible; you haven't been gone.

That would be... Appreciated, as I have no information about this place aside from the small pieces I gleaned from someone who looked very similar to myself. Ah, then your shop should not be difficult to notice, as I do not see any of our language here. It should stand out.

From what I have been able to discern through research and exploration of the shadow realm, this world is merely one of many. The world we came from is another. The same is true for our 'other selves.'

There are portals, almost rifts, in the shadows that allow for passage through space and even time. While teleportation spells rely on creating such rifts, they can also appear spontaneously, or perhaps even at the hands of the gods themselves. Individuals have come and also gone just as mysteriously.

All I know is that I was taken on the eve of my battle with the thief who defiled the pharaoh's tomb - the eve of what would have been my day of death.

I will await your arrival, then.

I suppose that makes sense in some way. I will take your word for it, as it is your area of expertise, not mine.

So it is entirely unpredictable as to who and what will appear where and when?

...Fortunate timing.

[[ooc: Would you like to do a log with them if you have time at some point? :3]]

Ah, another Egyptian in Domino. There's actually a surprisingly high number in this city, at least by typical Japanese standards. I'd be glad to help you find some of them; can't make any promises about any pharaohs though, just to warn you upfront.

As to how you got here... no clue. People have been getting plucked out of their normal lives and time periods and tossed here for years, we've yet to figure out exactly why. After awhile, people stopped wondering and started making new lives.

Were the other arrivals so... Unusual? As I never intended to come here. Ah, that would be appreciated; is there anyone other than Mahaado?

...Pleasant. No one has discovered a way to return? There are things I need to be doing back in Khemet.

Unusual? Umm... I guess yeah there's been some unusual people; although after living in Domino so long, my sense of what's unusual has gotten a bit skewed I have to admit. Certainly there's been more than one or two people arriving without meaning to ( ... )

Ah, well, at least it's not just myself. I suppose that makes it a little less annoying.

A 'certain thief' wouldn't happen to be the one Mahaado would speaking of, would it? The Pharaoh was here at some point? And... What? I can say I know nothing of anyone else you described who had the same name as myself. I believe I probably would have preferred not knowing, yes. I am indeed quite sane.

Mahaado's spoken with me about his theory, and it fits the situation as far as I understand. Perfect; exactly what I wanted to hear. I'm a priest, I have a great deal of things that require my attention.
