So don't you think America would be better off with weapons banned, like in most of other countries in the world? Look at the recent events. These college kill-a-dozen-and-kill-myself neurotics are getting more and more frequent in your country. We don't hear of many such instances in England or here in Russia, if any. Sure, crime is high in Russia. Like in any other place on the planet. But I imagine that the day weapons become legal here, half of the population would simply exterminate each other - there's too much hatred in almost every human being. This is our nature. I like to consider a personal arsenal a solid line of defense.

I've known some total loons, and even lived with one, and knowing that these people are dangerous and armed, irrational in their rage, I'm not going to allow some nut case to end my life at their whim.

Considering the number of people over here who do have guns, according to your line of logic we'd already have had a cross-country showdown at the OK corral. I think the nuts who want to shoot people can find ways to do so.

Regardless, people who want to harm / kill each other will find ways to do so.
