One caveat: the report is based on the UK, which is already the most extreme surveillance society in the world (more CCTV cameras per head of population than anywhere else - the average Brit is filmed 300 times a day). Not that the USA is *that* far behind or anything - in fact, it might very well catch up with Britain in the next 10 years.
Yeah, I noticed, but indeed I should have mentioned that. And you know, we probably will catch up, although it is admittedly a bit more difficult to survey the entirety of this country due to the expansive geography. I can hold out hope that I won't be caught on camera 300 times a day in Alaska for at least 50 years!
