[She chuckles back snidely.]

Consider it a prize for the victor. There's so much of it, it will take me weeks to get through it all.

[Water? He could be in the caves. Those were her element, but she was also unsure about his capabilities. His knife throwing suggested he was coordinated, and that made her think of snipers. No use letting him have his ground.]

[But Samus wasn't one to not take the bait. Assuming he wasn't coming to her, she leaped down from the temple and made her way to the stairs to investigate the caves.]

[Of course, he could be in the jungle. She didn't think of that until she was already heading down.]

[No he's not there either. He prefers areas that are a little more green and he's more than willing to wait for her to find him. Why go skulking around the ship when he can let his prey come to him.]

Now joo just done sealed joor fate ladymon. I nevah loose when dere be booze on da line.

[His voice oozes with confidence. He has little doubt that he's going to win.]

[Samus wasn't sure of Kevas's skill set. All she knew is he came from a primitive world, and that meant he was probably more suited to fighting with sparse equipment. If she could just activate her power suit, she'd have nothing to fear.]

[And that's what made this exhilarating. Finding the caves empty, she started to make her way up to the jungles on the top deck. But first she stopped at the Sergei's kitchen to swipe a serving tray; perhaps it could be used as a shield.]

Sounds like that might be an addiction Kevas. I hear the ship has a psychologist to deal with those sorts of things.
