Recap: Season Four, Episode Two

Jan 06, 2013 22:50

My computer recently died. While my new computer is fabulous in many ways, and far better for work, it doesn't have any way to screencap. So, once I've gotten through the next couple episodes which I already had screencapped, there will be no more screencap recaps, sadly.

That said, enjoy this one here on eljay or here on dw.Five years ago ( Read more... )

asplendid recap. They really didn't do a great job of hiding what city they were actually in, though, did they? ;)

It was great seeing Duncan again.

(For screencapping purposes, assumung you're on Windows, may I recommend the free programme VLC? Great for watching video, and will also screencap both automatically and singly).

It's a transformer - laptop with removable screen that becomes a tablet - so it's running Android's Ice Cream Sandwich, and more importantly has no CD drive. I'm looking into getting an external drive, and I'll look for screencapping pictures then, but for now I am bereft, sadly. VLC is what I was using when I screencapped these ones, but I only got as far as 4.4 before my computer melted.

Ah well, the screencaps are nice but not essential, right? :D

(And for hiding where they were filming, they should have hired less Irish extras...)

Very neat bit of kit! I read a review of several similar devices in the Sunday Times techie section yesterday. Bummer about the lack of a CD/DVD drive, but externals are fairly cheap, I had to buy one myself for my netbooks a while back.

I just found out how to screencap automatically with VLC. I used it on Dougie Henshall's recent drama Doors Open and ended up with about five thousand caps! :-D

Yeah, the Irish extras do stick out a bit, as do the Wicklow mountains *eg*

I take it back; I can screencap, so now the issue is the lack of CD drive. That's not insurmountable; watch this space...
