I haven't been writing this much lately - bad me! I really should get back to it. Is anyone else still working on theirs, or have we all bailed out fir lack of inspiration ( Read more... )

This looks very intriguing!

My only official big bang so far as been Crow on the Cradle and I hadn't get consciously added another one to the list, but I now suspect that the Prison AU is likely to reach official big bang status as it now around 22K, so there's a good chance of it making 35K now.

I really need to get my arse in gear and make major inroads into the plot of this story - it's about 18000 words plus now, and hardly gone anywhere yet :-O I'm glad I made reasonably detailed notes on the plot, as I'd never be able to remember it now if I hadn't!

I wish I had more hours in the day...

How is the prison fic going?

The prison fic has been a bit on the back burner as I've been doing those drabble series. Plus I spent time yesterday and today trying to work out where Munchkin and I had got to on Silk and Steel. Today is 6 months to the day after she had her fall. It was good to go back over what we'd done. There are 9 chapters almost in the bag for that.

I'll hopefully get back to the prison fic next week.

Are you still trying to write something every day?

Is it really six months since that happened? I'm amazed. Where does the time go ( ... )

I like the look of this!

My big bang is on a very distant back burner and likely to be for the foreseeable future.

What was your BB going to be about, I forget now?

It's a shame RL has stopped you from writing lately :-( *kicks RL*

I hope to make some more progress on mine fairly soon, now that I've got some of the birthday stuff I owe squared away. Then again, I've got several other WIPs clamouring for attention... Perhaps I should assign a day to each of them and only write them on that day, with Sunday as a wild card :-D

I've got a couple of thousand words written - it's a kind twisted square with Nick, Stephen, Ryan and Helen (not all bonking each other!)

Nice. *waves pompoms*
I just don't seem to have had time for ages to work on mine. I know where it's going though.

I was bad, and forgot to reply to this comment! *hangs head*

Perhaps we should have a try at reviving discussion on the BB comm, in the hope of kick-starting some muses.

I keep adding bits to my BB, but I really need to make a big push to get it really rolling again, and I have loads of other fics that I have more chance of finishing as my BB is going to be really loooooooong!

No worries :D

This is the trouble, isn't it? There's always something first. This is where you really need a schedule, deadline, goal. Otherise it just goes to the bottom of the pile for months.

What about a 200 word goal every Sunday? LOL. I mean, once you get started, you might not stop, but at least if you add 200 words every week, it will *eventually* get finished... *does a quick calculation* A 50,000 BB would take 4.8 years. LOL!! To be honest, I was expecting longer :P

That might not be a bad idea, actually - at least it would get the plot rolling again, and at some point I might be able to concentrate on it more. I know what's going to happen - have done for the past three years so far (I think it's three, certainly two!). I made sure to write down the whole thing when I first had the idea, because I knew the chances of me writing it immediately were slim to none.

I just need to regain my enthusiasm for it, I suppose. I do wish Dougie hadn't been so bloody plankish about the show! I love the bloke otherwise, but really, I do want to thwap him when I think of how it could have been if he'd stayed till the end of S3...
