Bob: *walks up beind the dozing Auspex and gently tucks his carpet around her shoulders*
Auspex: *starts slightly, blinks up at him with dim optics*
Bob: *pulls her chair back and scoops her up* You need to rest.
Auspex: *eeps! Well... this was unexpected. She blinks again* I seem to have little choice in the matter, at the moment. *she looks down toward the ground, her optics brightening with amusement*
Bob: *pauses in dismay* Do you want me to put you down?
Auspex: *she emits a short chuckle, good humor brightening her optics further* Only if you wish to; I am not easily offended. But, neither am I unwilling to rest unless you carry me.
Bob: *think think think! Decides he's already carrying her, so he brings her to her berth and gently sets her down*
Tessera: *murmurs softly in her sleep from her little bed on Auspex*
Auspex: *patiently lets herself be carried, smiling at her charge as he sets her down* Thank you, Bob. You are kind to me. *pauses as she hears the chiproach, and chuckles fondly*
Bob: *carefully making sure that the rug is tucked around her, his feelings warm with affection for the friends who are present* This is how you treat me.
Auspex: *nods* People do not always treat others as they are treated, and sometimes circumstances are such that it's not possible. My charges have their own lives, are preoccupied by their own problems; they do not always remember me, especially when they return home. I am content; I am not their concern. But... sometimes it's good to have someone here.
Bob: *looks at her with a slight frown, then lays his head down beside her, thinking that he is home and that he wants to be 'someone here' forever. The thought of leaving only brings panic*
Auspex: *reaches to pat his helm comfortingly, sensing his reluctance at the thought of leaving* Don't worry. Primus will not send you away, until and unless you are ready. However long you need, you will have. Until then, I thank Primus for your caring spark.
Bob: *relaxes a little, telling Primus thank you... and adding a thank You for that even bigger being that Hormah rattles on about sometimes, just in case He has something to do with Bob having the home and friends that he has* This is my home.
Tessera: *happy.....*
Auspex: *pauses in helm-patting, querying Primus, and receives nothing more than the sense of a smile, with no accompanying concepts. She sighs softly, giving Bob a brief hug* If this is where Primus would have you, then I am content for you to stay.
Bob: *and there is that shy little smile as he lifts his head to look at her, radiating soft joy and thankfulness. It quickly changes to concern, however* You need to recharge.
Auspex: *smiles back with cheer, but soon averts her optics a bit; partly fatigue, partly a little twinge of hesitation at her own wish to keep her charges too close, and what this situation may eventually do to her... but she nods and settles back, optics fading, as she complies* Thank you for being here, my friend.
Bob: *softly* Thank you for being my friend.
Tessera: *happy*
Auspex: *a squeeze of his hand is her only reply, and the chiproach's usual cheer sets the mood for a peaceful recharge*
Bob: *and the purple Seeker sets himself to guard their rest*
