I was just watching the first Batman, and i'm a little befuddled by how horribly things synch up. In the original contemporary Batman (directed by Tim Burton, no Adam West in tights), Gotham city recieves the 'bat-signal' device from Batman at the end of the movie. But in Batman Returns (also directed by Tim Burton) never once does the batsignal
