Meatbun's nearly out of... "food."

Maybe I should ask them to send a couple more to tide him over until I can get more fresh stock during the winter holidays.

Hey, I said "nearly."

I gave him the second-to-last one last week, so if I get it next week, things should be good.

What about him creeps you out? He's a very friendly puffskein.

He's very friendly, except that he eats his own species. If I took a bite out of someone's leg, you'd be creeped out.

We're humans, so of course it would be bad for one to eat another. We have morals and all that.

Animals don't really think about that. They think about survival. I don't know how Meatbun came to have this quirk of his, but there it is. I sort of think that it makes him a bit of a bad ass.

That thing is still really weird, Prince.

Just because he eats his own kind doesn't make him any less affectionate toward me or people who are kind enough to him. He's pretty neat once you look past his little quirk, Erszé~

I know he's perfectly nice, but it's still weird.

I guess if the first-years start crying about missing pets, we know where to look.

Only if I ever lose sight of him when he's not in his cage. I'd buy them a new one if it came to happen, so no harm, no foul.

That's awfully kind of you, though I imagine they'd still be rather traumatized.
