I've thought about that before. On one hand it is kind of a terrifying thought. On the other hand it would explain a whole bunch of things that never quite added up correctly before.

My belief in these things wavers on and off depending on when you talk to me. I think I need help rediscovering my sprituality. I think I've been quashing it under a rock for too long because I've been afraid of things I shouldn't be or of things that are silly to be afraid of but... That's fear, isn't it?

It's an interesting thought, and one that I've had a lot since my son was born. A friend pointed me to the lyrics of a Barenaked Ladies song when I made my post about watching my son sleep.... and in all honesty, both that and your thoughts echo some of my own. I can't help but wonder if we've all been here before, if we made choices to be where we are for whatever reason, and whether we're on the path we thought we'd be or if, in forgetting that we had an agenda, we've strayed from where we were supposed to go. I don't believe in predestination - we do have choices, and those choices affect the path of our lives. It's getting a little deep now, but I enjoy the occasional reflection on the idea. :)
