Meaningful? Hardly. Not only are relationships a waste of time and money, but they cause you to lose control over your emotions, creating weaknesses and opening yourself up to pain. So you get momentary happiness in exchange. That's not going to help you survive in the long run.

And what do you do on dates, hm? Go out to dinner. Buy them flowers or chocolate. Buy them gifts like jewelry. And all of that costs money. If nothing else, at least it helps boost the economy.
