[ Rasler sits outside of community housing four under the roof as to not get wet. He's listening to the rainfall, and enjoying it. There wasn't much in terms of rainfall during his stay in Dalmasca, and he is taking it in while he can. The change in pace and setting allow him to think, about what happened back home. Without the war, and his troops to distract him, the anger and hostility he held due to the death of his parents fades in grief. Now it all seems too real for him as he accept the death of his parents.
His journal lays open on his lap, with a few random scribbles along the margin as he tried to get his pen to write. The scribbles start turn into cross hatching as Rasler is at a loss for what to write. He sets his pen aside in frustration.]
Is it possible to suffer from emotional backlog? It is difficult to explain, but the best way to frame it would be, like when one accumulates paperwork they intended to do but sets it aside to attend a ball, but the next day one goes on with their family, and ends up eschewing the paperwork for several weeks. Then it piles up, and feels completely impossible to catch up with all the work. [He wonders for a moment if anyone actually understood the example, even though it made perfect sense in his head.]
It feels as though everything is piling up emotionally. All of the problems from home, that I admittedly tried to avoid as much as I could, combined with finding myself here don't make for a good combination.
[ Suddenly he remembers the outlets. They're a bit of curiosity for him, but unlike others in village he has encountered them and knows how they work, even if electricity, is mostly obsolete in his world. ]
Curious. Why would they use electricity? It's so old fashioned. Mist is much more efficient and less wasteful way to transport and create energy. Although it's better than nothing, I guess.
Has anyone found a silver wedding band? Mine's been missing since I arrived. If anyone finds it it would be much appreciated.
[ Feel free to go up to him and talk.]
