Bruce & Bobby's Place || Friday, April 21|| A Surprise Delivery
Friday morning when Bruce went to leave for the office, he found a small, brightly decorated package at the door.
Being suspicious by nature, he ran a few quick tests on it handwavily, omg, and finding nothing unusual, he opened it. Inside the package was a small tin of Chinese green tea with chrysanthemum -- just enough for two people. Additionally, there was a small packet of ginger snaps.
A note inside the package reads: "Share me with someone you care about, then pass me along to someone you don't know well."
Now, the appearance of a mysterious package was, in and of itself, unusual. But the instructions... Bruce shook his head. Tropolis got weirder by the day.
Still, he didn't see any harm in something that would bring him closer to someone he cared for - not Emma, thank you very much - he decided to take it seriously. However, before actually feeding it to someone else, he'd have one of the adepts he'd hired to guard CJ check it out.
Someone he didn't know well, that was simple. He immediately thought of Scott Summers. So, that part was done. But someone he cared about?
Of course he thought of Yazoo. But, really, tea and ginger snaps just didn't seem like his thing. If Bruce wanted to tell Yazoo he cared, he could think of far better ways to do that. Far. Better. Ways. Like sex. God, he wanted him.
Focus, Bruce.
He didn't think of Emma. Well, he did, but he disallowed the thought. Faith wasn't the cookies type, and while Carol was, not a good idea to exacerbate her crush while he rebounded. That wouldn't be fair to her. Tara and Shane had been very busy with the handfasting and...
Of course, Katie. She might be feeling left out by all of the preparations, and he hadn't seen her since the movie-date. He did care about her, perhaps more than he ought to. And, while she wasn't a tea and cookies person usually, it seemed the sort of thing that would tickle her sense of whimsy. At very least it would make her smile, and that was a thing worth doing.

Later that afternoon, after the adepts had cleared the package, he called Kate and Scott.
