Did you ever know anyone who, upon being told of something that brightened your day, only ever had negative things to say about such things? The explanation is - 'Well, I don't want you to get your hopes up because I dislike seeing you upset' but life can suck enough as it is... why can't anyone seem to let you be in the happy place for awhile? That's nothing more than a weasley excuse for not having the balls to say "I can't stand your happiness because it makes me feel even worse about my own life."
