I got an email last night saying that I got a pretty good financial aid offer for graduate study at SFSU, which was really great news, so I figured it'd would be a good time to check on my admission status, at which point I discovered that I didn't get in. I'll get a letter in the mail soon explaining why

Oh, Julia, I am so sorry. What an unexpected blow. This kind of thing is so frustrating--when you are doing everything right, and feel good about stuff, and then suddenly the floor is yanked out from under you.
I'm afraid I don't have any advice, but I do have a shoulder to cry on, if need be, and of course, lots of love. And cookies that I made yesterday, if you want them.

Thanks for the support, sweetie. I'm sure I'll be leaning/crying on you a lot today. And I will so eat those cookies when we head down to Moffet Field, which PS we're not doing for a while it seems because Michael is still at Pt. Reyes with the guys. We might leave at around 4, not sure. Wanna tag along?

It turns out Evan is probably not going to leave until 6 or so. So I will prolly just go with him. But let me know when you go and where you are and stuff, so we can meet up.
Also, I have no idea about the dress code for this kind of thing. What does one wear to Yuri's night?

Whatever you want. I think you should go with your steampunk outfit, but I'm just going in jeans and a tank top. Also it might rain, which you should take into consideration.
