Another year ...

Well, I finished it. It took me a week (I *did* have a death in the family ... and this book was the farthest thing from my mind at the time), but I finished it.

First off, I just ... can't believe that Sirius is gone. I didn't cry when he died, nor did I cry when Harry was trashing Dumbledore's office in fury ... but when he spoke to Nearly Headless Nick well ... that was a different story. Just ... the desperation in the way Harry spoke to him ... I lost it. Man, it still makes me want to cry thinking about it. And all the while, what really sucks is now Harry doesn't have anyone. Yeah, he has Ron and the rest of the Weasley family, Hermione, and countless others ... but Sirius was all Harry had left by means of a parental figure. And that just makes me sad ... very very sad.

That whole Cho/Harry thing ... I'm over it. She's a crybaby and a hussy ... Harry deserves better.

Death to Umbridge, god I hated her! Dude, I used to think *Lockhart* was bad, but I think she has secured a nice spot in my list of characters I wish would die a slow painful death.

Did I happen to mention that I absolutely heart Neville now? I never paid much attention to him in the other books but now, I dunno ...

Overall, it was a pretty awesome book. It'll take a few days contemplating as to whether or not it's my favorite in the series or not ("Chamber of Secrets" rocks my boat, man) ... but we'll see.

Um ... yay? :confetti:
