Yay, you posted! I adore this chapter, with all its Pawnee media zaniness, Leslie's team coming through for her, and oh yes, the balls jokes. None of which I will admit to contributing. :)
Thanks! I didn't quite work in a crane shot, but you can imagine one as Ben pulls up to see all the reporters camped out on his front lawn... that's always what I had in mind.
This was great! You've handled the debate - which was high-larious! - and local media really well and I'm so glad, because I've been craving for that on the show and not getting it. I can really imagine how it would be disastrous for Leslie if her entire police record and all the scandals she's ever been involved in were brought up during the campaign.
I also really like the idea of Marlene keeping an eye on Leslie. It's strange - we haven't even seen her on the show since Leslie decided to run for office, have we?
So this felt like it was addressing some important things we haven't seen addressed on the show, which is so, so great. Very well thought out and executed.
That's great, thanks so much! We're of like minds, because I am writing what I want to see, and I definitely want more media, as well as more Marlene. She's an evil genius, I think. Love Marlene.
I had a lot of encouragement to tackle the media stuff - I nearly didn't - and I'm really glad I floated the idea out there before I was ready to commit to it. On my own I don't think I'd have tried it, honestly. And it was rikyl who reminded me about many of the elements of Leslie's checkered past...

I just love how everyone is written in this story, especially Marlene. We need more of her on the show.
