I really understand the social problems. Mine aren't merely as bad, but I need time alone to recoup after being around lots of people. On the other hand, if I spend too much time alone I get very depressed. Sigh.
I'm sorry about Brennan but I'm glad you found a new dog that should be a good fit.
I'm also sorry that you're struggling so much. My thoughts are with you even though I know that there's not much I can do. If I host something I'll invite you and I won't if you cancel at the last minute :) I have had enough health issues to know that sometimes it just needs to happen.
Can't wait till we can get our guy fixed. Trainer wants us to wait for a bit as it might make his personality more confident. He's a squirrely brat in the mean time.
Raven keeps telling me about Sagan and I'm dying to meet him. I have an on-going case of dog envy.
I think I've said this to you before, and I'm honestly not sure how it reads, but I want you to know that I've never found you to be anything less than delightful in social settings. I understand the times we've been in social settings together were a struggle for you, and I'm sorry to hear that, but for what it is worth, you've always struck me as graceful. With that said, I'm glad you are learning how to take care of yourself, and that it is okay for you to. You are connected to a social circle that understands people's varying degrees of socialability, so hopefully you can balance the various things you need with some time.
That said, we've been wanting to do dinner with you guys soon. I'll talk to Raven about schedules, since I'm not sure what projects he has coming up. Once I know more, I'll drop you a line and maybe we can see about some low-key visiting with food. :)
Thank you. And, yes, we definitely do need to do dinner soon. Sagan is such a cute dog, I need to let everyone soak in his puppy cuteness before he becomes a more well behaved adult. As annoying as it is, it is equally adorable. I think it is a defense mechanism against being strangled by human owners. Every time he really aggravates me, I look down at his goofy face and can't help but laugh at him.
