BEP in Little Manila

the video for the black eyed peas' bebot was set in 1938 in the Rizal Social Club in Stockton's Little Manila Historic Site. They consulted with us for historical accuracy, and based their production design on our historic photographs. they filmed in LA, but exteriors were filmed in the Little Manila Historic Site back home. yep, i saw that post too -- thanks, daps! i posted mine, scrolled down, and was like, oh yeah, daps had the scoop, i'm hella late :). i just watched some of the footage this weekend and i got all hyped about it and it brought me back to LJ. i hope it turns out cool. they did 2 videos -- a booty one, and then the Little Manila one. when the video comes out, i'll post some of the original historic pics they based the video on, like the jazz band inside the rizal social club.

i better just shut up abt all the s@&! i used to talk about BEP selling out. at least apl put his money somewhere good -- he paid for all videos (more than $60-100,000) for the Bebot video COMPLETELY out of his own pocket. that was cool.

and i'm so pissed i was in hawaii cause the rest of the Little Manila board was in the video!!!!
