We went fishing this afternoon. Stuart caught a catfish. Patrick caught lots of mangrove roots. I caught sunburn and itchy bites.

We went to Kmart this morning to get Patrick new shoes. He didn't exactly need new shoes (he has a cute pair of joggers already that fit perfectly well), but he wanted to wear his scabby foam Superman thongs ( ( Read more... )

Hahaha! I had some of those shoes when I was younger (grade-school). Patrick is so cute! Running around in his shoes all day just to see them light up. :D

Yeah, the cat does that to me when I clean her box out. As soon as it's clean, in she goes. Damn cat.

thats how it was with my dad. I'd make cookies, and they'd be gone by night-time.

I bake in my house too :) I share with two friends of mine as it means Alex gets a bigger house, it's cheaper for me, I have adult conversation still and he gets to hang around guys.

Quite often if I make a chocolate cake it's gone in an hour or so. I learnt the trick is to get an airtight tupperware container. Cook it while they are sleeping in and put it in the container and pop it somewhere they don't look often (like on the fridge because if they go near it's to look in the fridge). They take a little while to discover it, keep forgetting it's there and it usually takes days before it's eaten rather then hours :) Of course Alex being awake doens't help, especially if it's fruit muffins I make.

lol, Patrick's been known to sneak into the kitchen, open the cake tin, and bite the cake. Then we go and get a slice and there's all these bite marks taken out of it. He's done the same with blocks of cheese. Odd child.

Oh God, we need to move into a house. We live in a tiny little unit and it sucks. Sounds like you have that sussed.

I love having a huose, especially the enclosed backyard for alex to run around in. He is so active I think he'd go nuts in a unit even if it was just him and I. Alex doesn't take bites of food and leave it, he takes the whole thing and hide it. Hence the airtight container on the fridge, grown ups take awhile to click on if they don't see me cook it... alex sees but can't reach the container and forgets it's there in the end. Though he hasn't managed to work out getting Tuppwerware lids off yet... other brands yes but not Tuppwerware yet
