you know I think about that too. i also just figured it took a more outspoken/personal demeanor. and maybe a little whorishness.
i don't think LJ is very much an active venue anymore myself. so the location doesn't help. people are always moving on to the next method of expression/communication. lj, dead journal, myspace, facebook, twitter, etc.
myself i gave up on ever expanding my readership a decade ago. It's quite ironic: a totally public journal that is never read by the public.

Yeah, I agree. It seems the treads change as quickly as the direction of the wind. It's astounding and difficult to keep up with them! All my computer past times take up too much of my day's time!
