who knows where the time goes...

It is so very difficult to find the time. For anything. Whenever I have a free moment, all I want to do is curl up on the couch with a blessed blessed book and a mineral water IV... I have at least a dozen emails to return (sorry, ennazusmiranda and everyone else). I haven't seen about a third of my kitchen counter for a week or so due to broken dishwasher ( ( Read more... )

Aw, thanks! By the way, I appreciated the invite to your housewarming...um, several months ago. I never got around to saying so, and I spaced the event itself (I think I might have been a little tired), but that was nice. See you some time, I'm sure!

What a beautiful little girl! And sitting up is a huge milestone. A whole new vertical world opens up...

It is true that of all the things I lost when I had my son, free time was the hardest to deal with losing. I can say that it slowly reappears as time goes on. Of course what little I had just got erased again, but eventually...

Hooray for modern technology. Having to do dishes by hand is what brought down the Roman Empire.

Thanks... and yours are utterly gorgeous! O sweet little noodles!

Speaking of which, I still want to bring you some food (and goggle at the little ones, of course). As I recall, I still wasn't up to much cooking 2 weeks PP, and the free food delivery service had started to dry up around then. Any time/day particularly good for you?

You are welcome to come goggle at the wee tots! Food is a bonus, but not necessary. We'd love to just visit with some other parents, and company is as precious as home-cooked food these days.

I am returning to work next week, and I will have the unfortunate situation of having to work evenings from 3pm to midnight for a few weeks because it's super-crunch time at work. It only happens once every seven years, but it just happens to coincide with twins time. My life is exciting right now!

What that means is that a good time to visit is any evening this week or weekend, but during the week for the next month or so I won't be home in the evenings after the 27th of August. However, I'll be around on weekends.

Good gracious that does sound... exciting.

What is your Saturday like for a short visit? And I would really like to bring you something to eat. Don't deny me the pleasure of returning into the universe some of the goodwill I received after Rowan was born.

Yeah, clothes and dishes and other such accoutrements of modern life can be a nuisance... sometimes I wished I lived in a cave and owned nothing but a pile of skins and a big hammer. And I guess a gutting knife might be nice. And a necklace of bones. Huuuuuuuman boooooones...

Say, we might go to Seattle this Sunday, but if we don't, we were thinking of putting a little group together to hike to a swimmin' hole. Would you like to come? We should know later today or tomorrow if the WA thing is go or no.

Aw, cutie pie! I hope to be able to see her again soon. I need to call you back! I've been holing up under my own rock and being a neglectful person. Mea culpa...
