Just this evening, you asked if I wanted any lambchops. I tried to respond, and all my vodka and orange juice-enhanced brain could muster was a simple 'no'. You asked again as you slammed your staff on the ground, and I simply smiled, ducking my fedora-donned head and hid behind my blond hair and muttered something ridiculously incoherent as I drifted away and left you to your character and work. To be honest, I could have responded with something mildly suggestive, such as "only if you feed them to me..." or something of that nature. But to be even more honest, all I really enjoyed was the fact that I was able to look into your eyes from up close for once. Understanding that you must stay in character, I can accept something as absurd as "want any lambchops?" or whatever you need to say. It doesn't matter. I could see you through all that SFX makeup and costuming, and I recognized you immediately. To paraphrase Nietzsche, I looked into the abyss and the abyss looked back at me. My memory is so impressionable but tell me, were you wearing a black dress shirt and heading in the direction of the two houses on my street? Because if you were the one I think you were I find it so odd because I went off my little pattern - I have a system here believe it or not - to offer you some of my dead lamb. Don't ask me why. But these nights become such a blur, I'm not entirely sure if there were any other people I talked to with long blond hair and wearing a hat.
