This whole area with Barbara and everything is def something that I would want to explore more but I just wanted to get this piece done and out. I may add this topic to the list though.

I love the implication with that line that Barbara must know about Archie and how we dont know how she knows, gossip? Or did Horatio tell her?

I think in general fic have Horatio telling Barbara, but I'm just not too sure in this case.

Ohhhhhhhh lovely! I've always thought that although Bush appears to be uncultured on the surface, he has a bit of the artisan in him, especially if it is to do with his dear ships. =)

When I wrote it I did pause and think hang on would Bush say something like this and I thought actually he would. He likes to surprise people :)

Another very lovely piece of writing :) I liked how Bush initially floundered but actually proved the Lady's point in being more than equal to reading the painting, I also liked the quiet way we realise that everyone in that room knew about Archie and his importance to Horatio even if they'll never say so out loud. All in all, great fic - bravo!
