That was fantastic!
This line here - Uriel would not understand that with every scream Dean rips from Alistair’s throat a tear is rendered in Dean’s soul and to Castiel’s astonishment, his own too. Summed up Dean and Castiel's relationship perfectly, the empathy for each other that Castiel recognises and accepts and that Dean's probably never going to.

I think this has definitely triggered some thoughts in my head about Dean and Castiel's relationship and not in the slashy fun way but in the friendship that they have and how its developed. I think I might try something similar but in season 5 and get some comparing and contrasting going.
