More opportunities to talk about myself and to be nosey about your fine selves!
Reply to this post by yelling "Words". I'll pick five words that I associate with you. Post to your journal about those words and get your friends to do the same. Here's what
pim2005 associates with me.

1. Jon!Doll
2. Niecelet
3. Chalet School
4. Buses
5. Knitting

1. Jon!Doll
Should I be worried that the first thing on the list is a 12" plastic doll with his own twitter account? As per an earlier LJ post you can see how what began as a bit of silliness between me and a friend has snowballed into its own little cult. I warn you, I feel that JonDoll may be having more adventures than he previously has had! He's developed quite a character. Can't you tell I once had an ambition to be a puppeteer?

2. Niecelet
My own flesh and blood to corrupt, stuff full of sugar and hand back to Mama to deal with!! I never thought being an aunt could be so much fun. I keep seeing things that I want to buy for Amelie but have to restrain myself as she is probably spoilt enough already! I do regret that she doesn't live closer so I won't be able to see her very often. That's something that I missed out on with my own aunts and I don't want my niece to feel the same, because my aunts are cool. ALready she has lost that newborn look and, can you believe it, is a month old already! *cuts short proud auntie babble for a later date*

3. Chalet School
If it hadn't been for the Chalet School then pim2005 would never have met! One day pim2005 may curse the name of Elinor M. Brent Dyer but as she tagged me in this meme that day can't have arrived! I own all the Chalet School books, most of the fill ins and, to be honest, they are my comfort read and have got me through all sorts of tough times when I need to hide myself away with a book that I know will turn out well in the end. I've been reading them ever since I can remember and through the books and the internet have made some very good friends whom I wouldn't be without now. I've also learnt an awful lot of things from these books, all sorts of snippets of history and useless facts that I'm surprised I know until I realise how much I have read these books! They've also helped me to hone my writing skills by being free to write fanfic and have other people comment on it. It's probably also their fault that I have such a large collection of old books!

4. Buses
The bane of my life! As I can't drive I have to get around somehow :) Most of the time, to be honest, they don't bother me and I don't have the urge to learn to drive so I put up and shut up. Middlesbrough seems to have the worst bus service in the whole of the British Isles and it drives me to distraction sometimes - especially when I visit other areas of the country and experience what a good bus service is. The only other major drawback to buses is that I get bus sick. I'm better than I was but still prefer to use the train for journeys longer than about 40 mins, or it's not pretty!

5. Knitting
I learnt to knit when I was about six and still have the teddy bear to prove it. I then didn't knit for yearsandyearsandyears until "hand knitted" scarves came back into fashion and I was horrified at the price of them. So I found a wool shop and bought wool and needles and re-acquainted myself with the art. The less said about that scarf the better. It was a cat bed for a while until a mouse got at it and now it's somewhere in landfill. I don't knit as much as I would like to because things like work, the internet, silly doll twitter accounts get in the way. But I nearly always do a bit of knitting when watching the TV, otherwise I fidget too much. I also take some with me when I go away somewhere to fill in time on the journey and any odd moments while I'm there. Sadly I can't knit on buses (*puke*) or I'd do more, I know. Speaking of knitting, I really need to finish a few things before starting anything new. My poor Dad is still waiting for his second sock. Sorry Dad!
