I thought the boy was coming home during the day today, but he doesn't land until 10:30PM and won't be home until after midnight (he flies into Baltimore

I want friends like that. Sadly, I don't go out much unless it's with my girls and that's rare. I'm such a homebody.
When my other half goes away for a weekend (rare as that is) I usually order pizza and eat that all weekend. There used to be this place that did great Chicago pan pizza but they closed all their locations. That was the best. I don't like cooking for one unless it's breakfast food. I love breakfast food!
Sorry you have to work today. If it's any consolation, it's snowy, cold and slippery here. I have to run errands but it's going to take me half of forever. *sigh* On the upside, I get to meet a fellow JRW reader later today, unless the roads get really bad. She's got a baby so I don't want her driving unless it's really okay. I'm such a mother! LOL
Oh, fun! I watched a marathon of How I Met Your Mother last weekend and loved every minute of it. The good news is that being home alone has forced me to figure out how to use the new technology. :) Well, it's not that new, but it's new-to-me.
Chicken Little is very adorable, by the way. I haven't finished watching it all, but I still have it recoreded. It looked a little too silly on tv, but I felt so bad for him when all the kids keep picking on him. I also love when the gym teacher separated them into popular and not popular. :)
Scott just called me and asked what season I was on of Alias..he said, "You on season 4 yet?"...nope..still on season 3, but I'm on disc 5, and there are 6 discs to each season. This is by far my favorite season. David Anders, who plays Julian Sark, is such a great evil hottie, who Michael Vartan's character can never seem to catch.
I never got into Alias. I tried to watch an early episode and didn't get into it. Plus, it's weird that no matter how much TV I watch and like shows, there's nothing I'm crazy over that I need to own all the DVDs though Grey's Anatomy is up there. I would say the boy is all into Scrubs and 24 and was into Arrested Development. Maybe it's just because I'm so used to all my shows being cancelled, I can't get too dependent on them. :)
They do the same thing or offer to mix my drink for me, but I always make my own drinks so I know exactly how much of everything is in there.
One time, I left a bar early (because I can't stay out to 5AM like they do) and one of them gave me a $20 for a cab ride home. Seriously, who does this? I still always offer to pay because I hate to make it look like I'm taking advantage. Sometimes, at bowling, I'll buy a pitcher at least.
As for opening bottles, nowadays, they don't give you bottles because the glass can be dangerous or the bottles can be weapons. I can agree to this... one time, in DC, I cut my foot real bad from glass on the floor. Rumor is, the glass was from my martini glass that I dropped, but I think it's a lie. :)
