Contemporary, Historical, or Paranormal?
I'll read any of them. Lately, I prefer contemporaries, but there are some vampire, ghost, fairy, witch books I don't mind.
Hardback or Trade Paperback or Mass Market Paperback?
It depends on whose book it is. I'll buy favorites in hardcover, Trade Paperbacks if I must, and Mass Markets for all others.
Heyer or Austen?
Neither if I can help it, but Austen if I have to (and the movie version).
Amazon or Brick and Mortar?
I actually prefer Barnes & Noble, but I'm available for the cheapest price.
Barnes & Noble or Borders?
I go to Barnes & Noble more, but I'll go to Borders for cocoa. Borders has better booksignings so I'll go for those.
Woodiwiss or Lindsay?
Lindsay, but I haven't read her since high school.
First romance novel you ever remember reading?
Technically, I guess Danielle Steel or Sandra Brown, but it was LaVyrle Spencer who hooked me.
Alphabetize by author Alphabetize by title or random?
If I had room, I'd alphabetize by author, but it's fairly random. *sigh*
Keep, Throw Away or Sell?
I keep favorites. I would never throw a book away. I've sold and traded and given away books though.
Read with dustjacket or remove it?
I read with the dust jacket. It gives character, and I like people to know what I'm reading so they can read it, too. Also, what else would I use as a bookmark!
Sookie Stackhouse or Anita Blake?
Neither.
Stop reading when tired or at chapter breaks?
I love to make it after the book ends - when a chapter breaks if I don't have the time.
It was a dark and stormy night or Once upon a time?
Whatever gets the characters faster to canoodling...
Crusie or SEP?
SEP with the occasional Crusie
Buy or Borrow?
Buy, but I don't mind borrowing.
Buying choice: Book Reviews, Recommendation or Browse?
Book recommendations by certain people, but mostly impulse.
Tidy ending or Cliffhanger?
Tidy ending but not too tidy.
Morning reading, Afternoon reading or Nighttime reading?
I actually like morning/afternoon reading. Night time is for sleeping.
Series or standalone?
Yes. I like both.
Favorite book of which nobody else has heard?
Hm... The Heart's Haven by Jill Barnett, A Handful of Heaven by Kristin Hannah, Seen by Moonlight by Kathleen Eschenberg... Sometimes, I feel like no one reads the same books I do.
