I went to my professor's office hours today and he first asked me why I didn't meet with him sooner then told me I should have done better on the exam since I have a good GPA. Then he told me my studying methods were wrong and that I needed to read every chapter at least 3 times and not take an outline on them since it is a waste of time. He told

Since I've come to grad school, I've rarely read the book, mostly studied the prof's powerpoint slides, and gone to roughly 60% of my classes while getting the same grades I did in undergrad. Once you realize what the prof expects (read: expects for exams, quizes, etc.) you won't have to waste your precious time.
