my baby, my precious little boy is gone...my little kitty Scooter is dead. Only 3 days ago he was running around the house, purring and meowing and playing like always, then the next day he got really sick. Today he just layed around the house and my mom and I too him to the vet. The doctor immediately thought it was acute kidney failure. ( Read more... )

thanks Carrie! it's just so hard because at this time even a few days ago, he was happy and healthy and it just came out of nowhere. I think it would have been a lot easier if we saw it coming, ya know?

it is hard to watch them deteriorate...like your father, i watched my grandpa go through it, and youre right it is more a relief at the end, and as painful as it is to watch your loved ones suffer, atleast you know you have the time to say everything you need to. That's how my mom and I looked at it anyway.

thanks for the well wishes though, I mean i know to some people it's "just a cat" but this cat, in the short time he was here, helped me through my lowest of lows just by following me around and letting me hold him while he purred. He was always happy to see me. He was an amazing little feline and i always called him my "little shadow" and now he truly is...
