How do you say goodbye to your best friend?

We have a dog.  His name is Tiger and he is now 14.  I got him as an 8 week old puppy.  Struggled through house training, sacrificed half my shoe collection to get him to 2.  He has been so loyal to me all these years.  We have shared good moments and bad

Awwww, Cathy, that sounds so sad. But if there's one comfort you can have, you'll always have those memories and you gave him the best life that you possibly could.
