Everyone was intent on shooting down her self-esteem until only bite-sized pieces were left, Nanako thought. It was an absurd theory, but every time she walked through the hallway, some pretty girl with a perfect posture and a raised chin would pass by. Really, the only girl that was homelier than her was her friend Tomoko.

To add insult to injury, Nanako bumped against someone again. When she turned to face the person that smelled like sandalwood, she saw a rather handsome woman. She had a kind countenance, raven black hair, and a welcoming air. Nanako found herself blushing again. When the woman knelt down to pick up Nanako's books, Nanako just stood there, babbling about car boosts and tank juice.

"Young ladies such as yourself should be more careful," the raven haired woman gave her a pat on the head and walked away.

Rosemarine was absolutely angry. While sitting on a clean crate, cross-legged, he began to list down what they did for the day.

The first boat they raided was a simple delivery boat. It only had two passengers; the captain and his bitch. After their men killed the captain and raped the feminine boy (an act Rosemarine found repulsive, not that he'd tell the crew members that), they took all their stuff and sank their ship. That was great and all, but the delivery boat only had a few crates of apples, oranges and fishes. Same old, same old.

The next boat was a fishing boat. They did the same thing, except with less rape because there wasn't anyone remotely attractive inside the ship. They took all their fish. Fish. If he had to look at another fish again, he'd vomit.

His train of thought stopped when Jules entered the room carrying a plate of, guess what, fish. At least it was clean this time.
