After finding a reasonable place to stay and getting some rest or maybe not, the rogue doctor decided to take a look through the City and try to find any others who might be able to explain the situation. Not that the commander seemed unreliable... but what he had said still seemed far-fetched.

A young woman lying on the ground wasn't exactly what he was expecting to see when he entered the plaza, so he stopped for a moment, frowning slightly, before approaching quickly and kneeling next to her.

"Hey. Can you hear me?" He put a hand on her shoulder, examining the bruises.

Green eyes slowly tracked from the sky to Black Jack, only half-seeing him in the shadows cast by the sun high above them both. Emmy blinked, another tear running down her cheek and dropping to the cobblestones without much notice. Her eyes fell down to his hand on her shoulder, and she shifted slightly beneath his touch.

Finally, she forced herself to open her mouth to reply, her voice quiet, "I can."

"Are you alright? Can you sit up?"

Sighing quietly, she began to shove herself up weakly, her arms doing little more than act as dead weight as she finally slumped forward, pulling her legs up to her chest. The blonde stared forward blindly, focusing on nothing at all as she hugged herself into a small ball, making no reply to his first question. He didn't want to hear it anyway.

With the threat of the homunculi gone, Kresnik decided that resuming his normal objective will be the best choice as of now. He walked through the plaza and suddenly stopped, spotting a rather familiar blond laying on the ground. He frowned lightly before walking towards her.

"Emeraude."

She turned slowly to glance up to him, green eyes blank as she looked him over; she gave no reaction that she even saw him, short of the acknowledgement that she heard him. After a moment of noting exactly who it was, Emmy simply rolled her head back skyward, focusing on the blue sky high above her.

Kresnik noted her rather blank eyes, but didn't comment about them. For a person who just returned, she seemed rather....dead.

"....you and Shinju now have returned." He looked at her bruising and started to kneel down by her. "....I'll heal you."

She made no move to do anything as he knelt beside her, simply letting her arms out slightly so he could better heal the marks. Her mouth opened briefly, floundering as if she had something to say to the comment about Shinju and herself, but closed it soon after, giving a sound like a sob combined with a sigh.
