Over half of San Diego is up in flames. They are predicting this will be worse than the hell we went through almost exactly 4 years ago that was called the Cedar Fire and was the worst fire ever recorded in history....

....my house might burn down.

I've been trying to keep up to date on all of this... I have family down there. my aunt and uncle havent been evacuated yet, but a few miles from them are manditory evacuations... Im not sure about my cousins... They live kind of near poway in san diego.

I'm thinking good thoughts for everyone down there!!!!

luckily (or unfortunately???!?!) i'm not in san diego. i came up to visit carlos and when i was on my way home my mom called and said don't bother as our entire city was under a mandatory evacuation. it's frustrating because there are major fires up here too so that's all the local news stations are covering so i'm trying to get the best info i can from my parents and friends and the internet. i think poway is ok right now but i'm not 100% sure.

do you know where exactly in san diego? i have some idea of what's ok right now and what's not. i've been calling my parents for updates too so if you know where they are i can ask my parents if that's still a safe area (i happened to come to LA this weekend and now i can't get home)

I'm really worried about this whole thing. Jon's 87-year-old grandmother & his aunt have been evacuated (the fires are VERY close to where their houses are). :( I'll be hoping & praying for them & for your family. It's awful...

Have they evacuated? Where is your house? Jon's grandma is in Rancho Bernardo and his aunt is in Rancho Penasquitos (but they're now staying with his cousin in downtown, I think, wherever they haven't evacuated yet). So sad & scary. I wish there was more we could do for them. I wish they'd come out here & stay with us for awhile or something, but neither one of them wants to travel... :(

they were the first to evacuate. their entire city (ramona) was evacuated last night by 9:00pm.

if you know their street address this website tells you what houses have already been burned. (i know that sounds morbid but it gives you an idea)

Sorry, I just got to this post since I was gone for the past four days because of the fires. Is all good with your parents house?
