B/c I think that I have to friend them for them to be able to see locked things, right? them friending me only lets them track my posts...or something. I don't know. it's all lj to me. :-D

for people to see your locked posts, you need to friend them. if someone friends you, you can see their locked posts.

LOL you are funny, bt as as I know and this is how LJ works is IF people friends you assume that they want to read your locked friends post, if you friend them is should be the same, but always ask where they met you just in case they are trolls, and always check if it's empty journal just bacuse it may be a troll. Something like that was told to me, but I'm just passing it along
