I Saw Harry Potter Last Night!
It was a last minute idea of mine to go, so I thought I'd have to buy a ticket and then go back later, but I made it in time for the 6:30 show and it wasn't sold out. (I had to find the stupid theater first, which took me like half an hour because I was actually going in the wrong direction...oops.) I still can't believe how expensive movies are getting.
Anyway, the theater was still pretty empty when I went in, so I was able to get a pretty good seat near the middle, away from the couples in the back, and the kids in the front. But, of course, since I was stupid enough to leave two seats between me and couple sitting a little farther down the row, before the movie started, late-comers asked me to move down into the seat on the other side of me (there was an empty seat next to me on the other side where a man was leaving his popcorn so he didn't have to hold it) so that they could sit in the three seats. So for the whole movie I was stuck between this big guy who kept elbowing me in the head whenever he reached for his soda and these two moronic boys who kept commenting in fake British accents. So I spent the movie cuddled up in my sweatshirt trying to block out everything except the movie.
It was awesome. I loved it. I swear it must be illegal to have that many hot guys in one movie. I cried my eyes out when Cedric died. I was sitting there thinking "Please don't let them show what I think they're going to show or I'm going to cry." And they did. And I cried. I cried from that point on in the movie until the fake Moody dragged Harry into his office.
Is it wrong for me to have gotten incredibly scared when I saw the Dark Mark? I was like hiding from it in my jacket because I didn't want to look at it.
Malfoy the ferret! Loved it! But I would have liked to see him bouncing more.
Neville was adorable.
And I could have sworn Hermione's gown was supposed to have been blue. I need to go look that up.
And how much important stuff did they need to take out? I know that one of my friends said that her boyfriend was totally confused (he hasn't read the book yet).
Where were the house elves?
Okay, there's more, but it's like freezing in my apartment and I have to go figure out how to turn the heat on. My fingers are cold. I'll write more later.
I think I'll either go see Harry Potter again on Wednesday or I'll go see Rent. I haven't figured that out yet.
