Uni network people suck. A couple of years ago my internet was out for 2 *months*, because the stupid network people just ASSUMED the problem was with my computer...even though i know my stuff, and i could honestly say it WASN'T...especially considering that it worked great when i plugged it into the port in my mate's room. Then, one day, it "fixed" itself. Yeah right...it got fixed because they finally got around to getting off their bum and actually doing something. :P

Haha! Wow, that sucks.

The guy was really nice about it actually. I was surprised. They're swamped right now. He said they had about 700 people who needed help setting up their computers for the network, and yet he told me he'd sort it out for me at 1:30 (it was about 9:30am when I met with him) and he did come to my room right on time. I was impressed. My roomie and I might have to split a connection, but hey, at least I have internet!
