She used to ride at Stellar Stables but then she changed. I am not sure what the stables name is now. She owns her own horses, but they usually aren't the ones that she rides in classes or in shows. She rides the "community horses" at the barn. Her grandmother on her dad's side pays for all of it so I am not sure how much it is, but it is very pricey. Her outfits for the show alnost are over $400 and the saddle she owns was prolly near $1,000. The lessons are very expensive. I used to ride at both Coventry Farms as well as Gloraloma Ranch and I remember that paying for one full year was well over $1,000 and it was for one hour lessons on Saturday. The shows had fees too.
So in short, it is VERY pricey if you are planning to truely ride and carry the sport out.
Zoiks...I knew it's an expensive sport but damn...I don't know how an average family would be able to cover those expenses. :( When I rode my friend's horses out in Kiowa a couple of summers ago, I only paid for half of the cost to feed them (about $100 a month) and even then I was kinda cringing at the cost. Though I must admit, that "omg this is highway robbery" feeling dissipated once I was out there with the horses.

I have some question about Alex's horse lessons/shows. Where does she do them? Does she own the horse or rent them for the shows? Is it pretty pricey?
