Well...love is a word that means different things to most everyone and often those meanings don't mesh together so well for any two individuals. For some people Love just means companionship and friendship...for others it just means lots of sex...for others it might be a professional relationship sorta deal or something completely different. I believe in the concept of love, but only as an abstract idea that represents many more specific and understandable/qualifiable things. What we see in that abstract idea will be unique to ourselves and if any two people see an abstract idea without seeing what it represents to them, then the chances for things to go wrong such as you reference the 'real world' will be higher than otherwise. Love is just a four letter word...what it represents to each of us is timeless and practically indescribable. People just need to see both sides of the coin and understand what they want and why before jumping into something crazy, that's all :o)

But I kinda agree with it meaning companionship and friendship - I think that's where I'm at... which is cool cause it means I do have "love" even if it's not what is typically thought of as "love"
