Is the every second Sunday for a reason? And yes, it IS great of him to be so easygoing about the ceremony, although it's good because it'll make things easier for you because your family will be so happy. Are you 2 planning on raising your kids (should you decide to have them) Roman Catholic?
haha. actually it's because greg doesn't want to get up early "every" sunday. every second sunday is okay with me though. i know it's still a huge step for him. he pays attention too when he goes. he always has an opinion about the homily which is good... he told me once though that we all looked like robots accepting whatever the priest says - even when he was saying "non catholics go straight to hell".
we are planning to have two kids and we're baptizing them, and letting them take communion. at confirmation, we're going to let them choose if they want to stay catholic, or if they want to explore other beliefs...
greg feels that they should have a choice and i agree with him. my parents let me and my brother choose if we wanted to stay catholic when we were up for our confirmations too. i'm asking for the first two rites though so that they're atleast christian (very important for filipinos).

haha. it's not that bad. i exagerated (sort of). anyways, father david was saying that only the roman catholic church has the answers and that everyone else wasn't really going to get into "heaven". heaven is only for "true believers". of course while this homily was going on, greg was looking around the room (i wasn't sure why - but i was glad he wasn't asleep) and he prolly saw everyone else either paying attention (looking like they were).
it's holy spirit church ~ the church we're marrying in in new west. father david can be a bit harsh... but i think it's cause he's a little more old school / traditional... shrug.

we are planning to have two kids and we're baptizing them, and letting them take communion. at confirmation, we're going to let them choose if they want to stay catholic, or if they want to explore other beliefs...
