Entry text? WTF?

I am just one huge ball of I DON'T UNDERSTAND right now.  I've been trying to post something on lj to a community for a day and a half now, and it's driving me nuts.  I copy and paste from a Word document, and everything looks happy and dandy until I click to post.  At which point an annoying little message telling me an entry text is required pops

Hmm, that's weird! I've had trouble with the formatting in the past though, so maybe try copy and pasting the document from Word onto notepad, and then copy it from notepad onto LJ? That worked for me, but I'm not sure why it's saying there's not text there at all? :/

Yeah, that just confused the hell outta me! I tried 3 times last night, then just gave up...I'll try copying and pasting into Notepad though and see if that does it. Thanks! Oh, and congratulations again on finishing your dissertation! x
