It's been a long day, and she feels like she's only made so much progress with the research. it isn't until quite a while into the night that she's finally able to make her way over to check on how Rad is doing

*slowly opening his eyes looking beside him*

Oh - hi. *blinks* Uh, don't worry about it. It's okay, I was just waiting for niisan to get up since he's been like this all of today, I guess I just fell asleep while doing that^^;;

She smiles, it's so sweet Wolfy-chan would do this for Rad. "Did you make sure to get a bite to eat? I'm sure he'll be glad to hear you cared for him, but if he hears you starved yourself while doing it...."

Oh - uh, actually I haven't eaten. I was going to but then I guess I got distracted...

"I'm sure we can have one of the maids bring you something here, so you don't have to leave if you're really worried...."

*It’s dark out when he jerks awake suddenly, his heart thundering in his chest and a pounding headache pulsing behind his eyes. He sits up quickly, only to sway a bit and catch himself by putting his hand down on the mattress while the other presses in vain at the pain in his head. That. Flamboyant. Sly. Bastard. Oooh, point to you, Gunter von Christ. That will be the last time you ever catch him slightly off guard again.*

*It’s a worse damage to his pride than that episode with Shori, because he KNOWS what Gunter is like back where he comes from. Crafty, manipulating creature that hides a cold heart behind friendly gestures. Pawns, not colleagues. To be used and played with like a giant chess board. Apparently this world is not a unfamiliar as he expected*

*He flops back down on his bed, sick, thirsty, furious, annoyed, embarrassed, and queasy and pulls the blanket over his head, not regestering the other people in the room.*

*Suddenly aware that his brother is awake, he smiles slighly. He moves closer to his brother, pulling him into a hug not wanting to let go*

Niisan~ I was so worried about you. Are you okay?

*Something warm and heavy latches onto him and he shifts, trying to force his way through the cloud of confusion that lingers over his mind. It's a frightfully vunerable position and he doesn't like it. But this thing latched onto him doesn't seem to want to hurt him and he tries to force his eyes open only to see a blurry mass of yellow and blue*

*Up, he needs to get up. It's not safe like this. Focus, Conrad.*
