So the week before homecoming is our spirit week, and every day is assigned a different theme. Monday was career day (dress up as some career), Tuesday was tacky day, Wed was animal day, today was class theme day (dressing up in your class's musical genre. freshmen=rock, sophomores=techno, juniors=rap, seniors=country) and tomorrow is class color day (freshmen=white [this is also known as tag days, as most of the seniors bring big far markers and mark the freshmen :)] sophomores=green, juniors=yellow, and seniors=black). Than the football game and then the dance! I didn't do Monday or Tuesday, but Wed I was a bunny and today produced overalls and a flannel shirt. And a bandanna. I love spirit week :] Although most of the girls use this as an excuse to dress like a complete skank (animal day = playboy bunnies, today yielded girls in big plaid shirts and tights. no pants...) it's a lot of fun to see most of the school get involved. Like today, a couple sophomores brought in boom boxes and played techno music in the hallways, and then in the lobby at the end of school just jumped around. :] I'm especially glad to be a senior for spirit week though. Tomorrow morning is this breakfast tailgait thing in the parking lot for seniors (yeah, I know, it'll be cold. But we're 17&18. We LIVE for stupid ideas! :]) And then is a totally fuck-all day for school, and then the pep rally. Which is gonna be fun, because there's this part where all the classes (which are seperated) are set into four different parts of the gym, and it's that "Who's got more spirit?" and we all yell. And the seniors are going to win. OH AND! Ok. So, also in the pep rally, all the classes do a little dance with some kids. And last year when we were juniors and did our dance the seniors pretended to go to sleep. So this year when the juniors do their dance all the seniors are gonna pull out newspapers that say '09. Hah! Go us! And then is the foot ball game AND WE WON THAT THING! We won the high school game of the week. HAH! So we're gonna be on TV.
And then Saturday is homecoming. And I'm so excited! :]
