Would it be a suitable compromise to simply arrange each of your surnames with one's own first and the wife's second (or vice versa)? Sort of a mirror-image deal.

For the first three paragraphs of this I thought I was reading someone else's journal and I was highly confused. It all made sense except the names and I was trying to figure out who K was, then it dawned on me whose journal I was reading and everything became clear ( ... )
