After speaking with Aiden, Andrew had discovered that Pat and Cameron's 30th birthday was on the weekend, and whilst Aiden wanted to do something special for them, he had no idea what. Already set in motion, the twins' family were on their way over from England and Mr and Mrs Brennan were keeping them under wraps. Also on their way were ten of

He approached his best mate and held out a bottle of light beer for him. "You look like you need this," he said with a sympathetic smile. "Do you want me to take him for a wee while. Or maybe get you a pillow?" he joked.

He watched Cameron light up and laugh for the first time maybe since he met him as he was engulfed by his team mates in what looked like a huge group hug as they sung their team song. It was perfect, and the words really were fitting for that moment. Aiden would be lying, however, if he didn't think that side of the plan would work in a different way. He was hoping his team mates could convince him that staying in America to get the risky surgery on his knee was the best option. It might put him out of the game for another year, ( ... )

With his new baby son nursed securely in his arms amongst a mound of aqua fluffy baby blankets, sleeping on despite the noise, James eased himself down beside Izzy into the booth she was occupying and shot her a smile. "I figured you and I could probably use some more time to talk, sans being locked in a room by Ali's not-so-innocent husband."

Besides, no matter what, she did care about the twins. She wanted to be here to help celebrate. It was strange to think she was slightly older than them both. It didn't make her any the wiser though.
She turned her head when James sat down, and gave him a smile before reaching over to touch Campbell's cheek softly and dropping a kiss on the baby's forehead. Then she kissed James' cheek, and laughed. "It's always the quiet ones. He had to have a devious side somewhere considering Ali's his wife. Should I be drinking straight Coke instead of Diet for this talk?"

He glanced at her drink and shook his head. "Nope, if I have to stick to Diet, so do you. I just though... after the whole Hollywood kidnap scene at the hospital we should talk. I don't think we talk as much anymore as we should," he told her with another small smile. He looked over at the sea of red and than glanced back at her. "He'll be freed up sooner or later. Surprised parties can hit you like a tonne of bricks."

She smirked as she raised an eyebrow. "It really was something, huh? And I know... I just... I think I've been trying to give everyone their space, but it's backfired. Ali thinks I don't want her in my life, you think we don't talk... Cameron thinks that I took away his chance at bonding with his babies. Which I did. I fucked him over so bad. I don't even know where to start. I'm just glad I did get to talk to him a little bit. Even if he hates me. I just didn't want to get in the middle of you and Harri again, and Al was on her honeymoon."

She made a mental note to try and catch a word with him later, but for now she had someone else she needed to talk to. She slid into the other side of Rob's booth and smiled. "I was going to bring you a plate until I realised Leila had more than taken care of it. Brought you another Diet Coke instead so you wouldn't have to move."

He shot Rachel a smile. "I think she's taken care of that for about a month. I'm going to need a doggy bag. Luke's brother-in-law also came and offered me food. We were bonding over shared missing body parts, even if he was being evasive. Thanks for the drink, I appreciate it," he told her, reaching for it. "Are you having a good time?"

She glanced around as she looked for Pat, checking to make sure her boss was still having a good time. He needed it, in fact, from what she'd heard so did his brother.
And if Matt hadn't been there, and if he wasn't one of the top most things on her mind, she would definitely have been trying to take advantage of the important football talent. Those guys had magnificent butts, that was for sure.
She went to get a drink, choosing a suitably fruity cocktail in Pat's honour.

"I know what you were doing," he commented lightly, leaning back against the bar. "Or should I say who you were doing."
