Fury (The 2nd Law): Prologue

warnings: bullshitting and probs wrong facts.

prologue.

There are three things you need to be aware of when you're in Boston after dark, and reasons as to why you should not fuck around with Men in Fancy Suits on Tuesday nights if you are in Boston.

It has been an unspoken rule that's gone on for years that no one should linger along the chilling streets of City B after twelve at night, where the occasional student would be play the fucking punk and wander off into the dimly lit paths. Of course, they have never lived to see the daylight once again. Perhaps it sounds ridiculous to the extent of nothing more than being just a joke made by parents to keep their kids on curfew, for who else could testify as a witness?

Either way, first and foremost, just keep your shit off Boston after dark unless you wish to be buried six feet under.

Secondly, crime syndicates -- otherwise known as the Families.

For the past years in the United States of America, criminal activities by the main syndicates have very much ceased to be seen in broad daylight. However, according to stats by the federal police, the mafioso has been branching out and on the rise ever since the 1990's and there hasn't been a lead to a crack down in ages.

Everyone knows it's three atop of three, wherein we're talking about Cosa Notra, the Yakuza, and the Jopok. The worst part? There is no way you could filter them apart from the mere commoners going in and out the streets of Boston. They could be anywhere. Amidst all the businessmen and smart college kids, you'd be surprised to find out that your colleague or classmate might just be a part of this.

Crimes are basically sorted out in categories of the Day and the Night. The legal, and the illegal, of course. Not saying that the legal is definitely legal, but beneath these two categories lay a fuck load of other subs that gets revealed each time you dig deeper. Mainly, legal crimes are such of racketeering, and legitimate businesses that are probably not so legitimate after all. Night crimes are classified into a variety of subs, depending on the graveness of its circumstance. Ranging from money laundering to military firearm trafficking, and then all the way down to murder, the federal police has been on the ass of the Jopoks and Cosa Notra for their felonies.

Often known as merely just Jopok, the KK (Korean Killers) has already infiltrated their way into other parts of the United States of America, pulling in more Koreans who have not found their calling and into the syndicate. Otherwise, they are mostly smart ivy league kids that are left behind their peers, unable to find a job in this broke ass economy. Illegal gambling and prostitution cases uptown in Boston are usually done by them, and so are the auto theft issues alongside with street races. It has been said that the new head for the Boston Branch is the son of their old boss -- far ruthless than his father and a fucking druggie too. Apparently he's enrolled in Harvard, has men and women throwing themselves into his arms -- and that they are in alliances with the Chinese Triads.

The Yakuza in Boston sends out more ethnic Koreans who are referred to as, by the Jopoks, Korean Dogs. Rooting for the fucking Japanese dogs instead of their own kind, and are the first to be murdered once found out they are from the Yakuza. Yet, ethnicity is the main thing the Yakuzas has in mind -- to infiltrate the Jopoks and eventually take them down. Hundreds have been killed in this warfare, but nobody has plans to stop anytime soon. Funny thing, the current head of the Yakuzas in Boston is a Korean. He goes by the codename Kim, and was a Japanese-born in Tokyo. Kim is currently under the Inagawa organisation. Mainly involved in daylight crimes, the Yakuza remains as one of the strongest gangs in the world.

And then we have the Cosa Notra, who is related to the Sicilian Mafia in Italy but there are non-Italian members as their associates. With different crime families operating independently, there comes close to none that a conflict might happen with heads of each family coordinating amongst each other. Mainly involved in weaponry and drug trafficking, they are the ones affiliated to murder cases. They are known to be merciless and versed with their guns.

Thirdly, every Tuesday night on each alternate week, the KKs come out to play. Usually dressed in suits just like the Cosa Notra, the KKs have been spotted out in their nightclubs with shady briefcases and snorting cocaine through their nose. As mentioned above, the new head of the Boston branch is ruthless to the sense that it does not matter for your very own sob story or your age, as long as you did shit, you pay with your goddamn dog life. With a Nighthawk T4 in hand, he shoots you right in the fucking guts and watches you writhe for the last of your breaths before shooting you in the eye again.

Someone had once said, that he majors in Neurobiology and minors in Psychology in Harvard but not many knows of his name. That he's the scholar for their cohort, and that he charms you in the blink of an eye.

Do Kyungsoo is his name, and murder is his game.
