gah floppies suck and Totally understand the cursing. I don't know if you know about the new NetStorage at school. You can store up to 100mb on there and can be accessed from anywhere. This would save you alot of headaches, or atleast money on floppies.
So, I worked in a computer lab for 3 years, and I can't tell you the number of times I uttered the phrase, "Floppy's are notoriously unreliable--we highly recommend switching to another type of storage device."
In fact, when I left, Rutgers New Brunswick was nearly done replacing all the machines that had floppy drives, because they were so easily corruptable.
Seriously, I know it's a greater initial expence, but it's really worth it to invest in a zip disc or a thumb drive. They're much more reliable. I personally prefer the thumb drives. It's like a mini hard drive in your pocket.
