The train line is a bunch of arse! I often book tickets for people at work and I've stopped using them, I look for cheap tickets through NationalRail enquiries and then get the site to direct me to the train company's individual site(s) to buy them. I find I often find cheap tickets that the train line doesn't pick up that way too.
There is a tiny possibility I could be in London on the Friday, and of course West London is easier for me (it's also my ancestral home....) given where I live.
Aye, I've since found out that the tickets are cheaper on the National Express website (though it'll still cost me more than it was supposed to) - so I'll check I didn't in fact print the confirmation screen, and book tomorrow. Then I'll write to the trainline asking for a refund of the amount I'll have to pay for the new tickets. I think legally I should be entitled to that.
If you're around London, do let me know! Will you be there working?
I thought I might be, but I want to see mum on her birthday and need to get my poor car serviced etc. It may all change if I have *another* job interview though (Ox schools have diff holidays)
