As Malfoy and Potter fought, Michael tugged on Madison's arm, having grown bored. "Hey, you want to get out of here soon?" he asked.
Madison nodded. "More like, now."
Michael, grinning roguishly, replied, "Good idea. Shall we?" He slipped an arm around her waist.
"Yeah," Madison answered. "I can get the rest of the story from everyone else later- That sounds like such a sleazy reporter thing to say, doesn't it? Oh geez." At the same time as she says this, she can't help but smile, glad that Michael's acting normally again.
Michael grinned. "Don't worry Mads, I know you're only a semi-sleazy reporter."
"Good," Madison said, grinning back at him as the two left the Great Hall.
Madison giggled silently as she and Michael walked the halls. She wasn't sure why she was feeling so giddy. Despite the fight between Malfoy and Harry, and the awkwardness that so often came when Roland entered a room, the night had been rather romantic. She thought that it was perhaps a result of the formal-wear, mixed with holiday cheer and a good band for once. Especially the formal-wear. Michael looked quite adorable in a suit.
They hadn't been the only ones abandoning the dance as Malfoy and Harry's spat went on for what seemed like eons, and in order to get a bit more alone time before parting ways for the night, the two had scurried up flight after flight of stairs until they reached the floor that housed the Room of Requirement. Once they found the door, Madison waited as Michael turned the handle with her hand on his arm. Once the door opened, she was quite surprised at what she saw upon entering.
