[The streets were mostly empty - of human life, anyway - and so Axel was free to throw as much fire as he liked and assault the offending chimp with some rather foul language. When a bipedal figure crossed his path, he didn't think much of it - he leaped over it as he had any other animal that got in the way. Several feet later, though, he realized it had spoke to him, and with great reluctance he came to a stop, turning to see that he had just hurdled over a young girl.]
